How to Perform Social Media Actions Inside Email

Part of what we will be doing from time to time on this site is to bring you the very best of the apps available, we will also provide you with the opportunity to submit your apps (mobile and web), it’s currently being worked on, I saw a preview of it last night and can’t be more thrilled to mention that here – Awesome!, few positive changes here and there, there’s no better time to expect it than now (towards the end of the year)

Back to the main topic

Ever thought of the possibility of collaborative, realtime, or interactive email, PowerInbox makes you do just that by letting you perform social media actions inside the email itself. With Power inbox, a Facebook email lets you comment back on a photo sent by friends and family, a Groupon email shows a live countdown to expiry, while a Twitter email lets you tweet and follow back

Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, are just a few of the social media outlets that are exploding. Everywhere you look new and more exciting social sites are popping up and allowing people to stay connected in new and exciting way. One of the biggest and most widely used networks is Facebook. There are approximately over 900 million people currently using Facebook services. This is more users than any other network on the internet.

It is easy to see that there are ample opportunities to connect and be in touch with customers and also friends and family. With this social media frenzy taking over, it is only normal to want to get as much interest in a page as possible. The Facebook language is to have a “like” or follower. The more followers the more active the page and for a business this can mean more sales. The key is to get as many of these “likes” as possible and to not have a labour intensive task in doing so.

When a business or individual sends out an email the recipients can easily comment, like or write a message on Facebook. The easiest way to do this is through an application called PowerInbox. This application not only works with Facebook, but also Twitter and Groupon. The app will work with Hotmail, G Mail and Microsoft Outlook email programs.

While it may sound a bit complex it is actually very simple. This program will allow one to display photos, make comments and allow communication between two people or multiple. Using the Twitter app, it will allow a person to follow a recent follower or to even send a tweet reply inside the message.

The first step is to download the app, if you are using chrome, the download link can easily be seen on the homepage otherwise click on the download link for various browser options

Keeping all of the tabs going during the day can be overwhelming, especially if one is at work. By using an application such as this, it lets you use email, which is already up and running in most cases, people are already very familiar with.

From my Gmail inbox, I can be able to retweet or view tweets made by the other person, I can be able to like, send and share

One of the greatest things about using PowerInbox is the simplicity of it. It takes less than 30 seconds to download the app and it is free. All it takes is one simple download and Facebook can be embedded in email and ready for use. Perhaps, the best part about all of this is that it’s free.

Another interesting application that does similar thing is a firefox addon called Wisestamp which allows you to use links to your social profiles as signatures in your email
